At least judging by the massive disappointment shared by all PC gamers, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a big fat let down. Lets site the reasons why this game is being touted as the worst release this year for a game so highly anticipated.

The absolute biggest and most disappointing part of this game is the multiplayer. First off, Activision has done away with the Dedicated Servers. Really?? Why would anyone in their right mind pay for a game where you are force to play on a peer to peer network. There is already a petition in place with roughly 200,000 signatures to have this feature reincluded. Easily this form of online play caters to the host of the game itself and pits every other user at a disadvantage.

The other big dump on our faces was the drop in the allowed players in each match. Now the game only allows 9 vs. 9 gameplay. Not 64 vs 64 or not even 16 vs 16… 9. You and eight other people get to wander around ghost town’s of maps while you kill each other in host lagged combat. YES!

The single player gameplay doesn’t even make up for this travesty. The single player mode is at best an eight hour experience. I have already read reports of people powering through the single player mode in five hours. Why will anyone pay $60 for a 5-8 hour experience? I certainly will not.

Infinity Ward is dead in the water as it stands. You can see the reaction by every gamer who was has been thoroughly disappointed. Throughout every major site the game is receiving some of the lowest rating and reviews around. I will not be surprised if at this rate Infinity Ward shuts it doors tomorrow, because they must be seeing the disappointment through the sheer poor sales volume they are seeing right now.   • i liked this, sometimes its always good to do something which is gonna help and benefit us after a long run.I actually liked this taken by them. Keep it up,, i would like to wish them all the very best for their work.

    Yeah, this is stupid. They have already sold 550$ Million dollars.... thats more then any movie EVER in the first 5 opening days. To say their going to have to shut their doors is just ignorant. They have made more money then most industries do with flat screen T.V.'s. You have no clue what your talking about.

    Wow PC people are so pissed off that they have resorted making up fake news that they wished where true.
    Buy a god damned console and stop crying like a bitch.
    The game is still raking in the cash and being praised across the globe. Apparently there are just not enough whiny PC players out there to make a difference or care.
    Get over it and stop making shit up.
  • Yikes.... I think the biggest insult to injury is the PC version. Dare I say, check out IGN... IGN give thes game a 9.5 ..... Press gives it a 9.4 ....... readers (848 ratings,252 reviews) gives it a 1.6 .......................... What the hell is going on here?

    Are you stupid? They can make enough off the console noobs to more than make up for us raged pc gamers. This game broke like EVERY sales record.

    Try reporting the actual facts, and not just the shit that falls out of your mouth.

    The only reason it has broken sales records is based on the greatness of the previous game. It has nothing to do with the current playability of THIS game. The Matrix 3 was a record breaking movie, but it SUCKED. People went and saw it because of the previous two movies.

    By the way, this isn't NEWS. This was an opinion based article, maybe they don't teach English Comprehension in JERSEY. Stick to brick laying and leave the thinking to people who are more equipped for the job.
  • Nay sir, You can look at the DAY OF sales numbers and say it sold well, sure. Now look at the long term, which is something you're FAILing to see and won't see for quite a while. Also another figure which isn't posted, but would be very interesting to see is the RMA count on this game. You never see those sales figures in the break down on day of sales. I'd wager this game has had some seriously disturbing amounts of returns.

    The concern of this is the multiplayer aspect, which is what brought the first iteration of this game to the top.

    I highly doubt the long term success of this game unless IW fixes up the multiplayer aspect.

    Next time, please stop being so short sighted and look at the bigger picture.
