The sequel to Uncharted Drake’s Fortune is due to release this coming October, and from what I’ve seen of it so far, it looks beautiful. I’m glad that this game did well enough to warrant a sequel. Uncharted was one of those PS3 games that I felt didn’t get the credit it deserved when it came out. I guess compared to other shooter games that are out there it isn’t the best, but when I played it I didn’t really think of it as a shoot-em-up game. Drake’s did a good job of bridging the gap between an adventure game, and a 3rd person shooter that wasn’t intimidating to people who don’t normally play that genre of game. I’d already beaten Resistance, Army of Two and Kain and Lynch by the time I played Drake’s and it was the more enjoyable of the three in my opinion. Uncharted

Other factors were the over all design and some of the extras the game unlocked once you’d played through the game. Unlike the rest of the games coming out at during this time, Drake’s was fresh and green looking. Even in the dark cave areas the game had a vibrant feeling, instead of that dingy brown or grey that games like Resistance or Call of Duty had. Once you neared completing the game you could also change the settings of your game to have that dirty look, or be a disproportionate cartoon version of your avatar. If you haven’t tried Uncharted yet, give it a swing before the sequel comes out. With only 8-12 hours of game play, you can easily get through this one in a weekend.
