With the PS3 slim Sony has finally dropped their prices within the $300 range. Effective tomorrow, all 80GB PS3’s will be sold at $299 each. The PS3 slim, which goes on sale on September 1st will also be given the $299 price tag. This actually makes me want to go out and buy one. The new model looks to be about half as big as the old one. We’ll have to see if this will give Sony a better edge on the console market.
