Gamers of the world rejoice in arms, Log on to XBL and throttle the crap out of eachother. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is back, updated for HD, and looking better than ever. But I have just one question, “wanna take me for a ride?” *

I will admit, I generally dislike fighting games. Not to say I didn’t ever get any good at some of them, after all I can unleash a Chung-Li leg fury like no other. But they just were never my thing. In my crew of high school buddies, we had two or three of us that were die-hard fighting game players, and the rest of us were just lambs for the slaughter whenever we sat down and played a little Guilty Gears X. The pwn came fast, and the pwn came swift. And I did not enjoy it.

Like I said, I just couldn’t jive with the fighting games the way I could with the FPS, MMO or RTS. Maybe it’s just because they lacked any depth story wise. But mostly because the fights lasted one minute and the loading times lasted for two. See my issue here? Sure enough, my attention was peaked when Marvel and Capcom came together to create 3v3 tag-team goodness which could at least as long as it took to load the fight.

The team behind the refresh did a great job updating the graphics by providing settings that smooth over all of the jaggies in the sprites, or leave it all in it’s original form for you purists out there. Not to mention the stages expand beyond the normal 4:3 ratio. I am excited. Time to start playing, and I will see you all online. I can’t wait to try out the 6 player lobbies. My gamertag is “ExileOC.” But go easy on me. I haven’t played in years.
